To you and yours...

2017 has been quite a year for us at Ursa Major. We are constantly learning and this past year had no shortage of lessons for us. It has been our first full year in business and it has been the perfect storm of being blown away by magical events that move us one step closer to our big vision and events that leave us feeling like we've taken leaps backwards to square one. Through it all, we are reminded how much we have you and we have each other in our team. 

At the beginning of the year, we set out by laying on the table our 2017 initiatives. Between the three of us, they are honestycommunicationnon-attachment, and growth. We are a distributed team, working through this crazy early stage of business and working around schedules and personal variables all remotely. Melissa and Tricia are in the Bay Area and Valerie is in Hawaii. Through it all, we have been committed to being honest with each other and being open in our communication. Being able to let go and practice non-attachment has also been key. In the early stages that we are, learning plays a huge role. Being able to roll with the punches keeps us moving forward. It has been key. And lastly, growth. It's obvious we want our business to grow, but what is even more important is the growth in ourselves (we each have personal areas of growth opportunities) and growth of us as a team that works as closely as we do. In reflection of the past 12 months and while these are so broad and can always be worked on, we have each made steps towards these initiatives. 

Over the course of the year, we explored the Bay Area and were at 10 local shows. Spanning from San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose, we got it in it and got to know our local community. And how beautiful you all are! We were in NYC for a Summer pop-up (Young & Able) and also got our first local partnership with Viscera in Oakland. 

With that - from us to you - thank you. With all our hearts, thank you for your continued support and commitment to be better, innovate and become conscious consumers.
